Hollywood Premiere for Red White Black & Blue Odyssey
The premiere of "Red White Black & Blue: Odyssey" at The Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood was the payoff to a 5 year journey.
And if that wasn't enough, here we found out that the film has been bought by Netflix!
It's US only incase there are any here in NZ - you're better to check it out on iTunes. This revelation from our distributor XLRator was a real surprise. I was proud of the film to begin with, but this was a validation of the film as world class. This had me bursting with excitement not just for myself but also for the students who are the film and for Stuart Krohn, the visionary coach who has been the driving force behind this project from the beginning. I owe a massive thanks to Stuart, for making this all happen. He has taught me a lot about leadership and the power of relentless optimism.
The best experience of all however was having the chance to catch up with almost all the students (now adults) who I've got to know personally over the last 5 years.
These young students trusted me with their most intimate, formative and often painful stories and watching the film with them all was a humbling and frankly terrifying experience. I hope I did them justice.
